Iris Bloom
Iris Bloom is a stained-glass radial rotation puzzle. A central iris is built from concentric rings, each divided into the same number of coloured sectors. Your goal is to rotate each ring so that the colours line up across every shared edge between adjacent rings — when every edge matches, the iris snaps into bloom. Five difficulty bands from Petal (3×4) through Eclipse (6×8) scale both the ring count and the colour palette; the generator enforces aperiodic ring patterns so each puzzle has a unique solution. Daily mode shares one puzzle worldwide per day; endless mode reshuffles on every reset.
How to play
- Press on a ring to grab it; drag around the centre to rotate.
- Release to snap to the nearest sector step — one snap counts as one rotation.
- Mismatched edges show as faint dotted hairlines; matched edges fade out.
- Use the hint button to highlight the ring furthest from alignment.
- Solve in as few rotations as possible — best stays on a no-hint run.
Tips
- Fix the OUTER ring first if it has a distinctive colour pattern — every other ring then has a single target to chase.
- A snap by one step and a snap by four steps both cost the same: 1 rotation. Don't be timid — sweep the ring around in one big drag.
- If you get stuck, restart and try fixing rings inside-out — sometimes the innermost ring is the easiest anchor.
FAQ
- Is Iris Bloom free?
- Yes. Iris Bloom runs free in your browser on desktop and mobile, with no installs, sign-up, or downloads.
- Why doesn't my best save when I use a hint?
- Using a hint disqualifies that run from the personal-best record. Solve without hints to lock in a new best.
- Are the daily and endless puzzles the same?
- Daily picks a deterministic puzzle from the current UTC date — the same iris world-wide. Endless rolls a fresh random seed every time you reset.
