Murder
Murder is an original one-button stealth game built around lifelike 2D skeletal animation. You play an assassin closing in on the king down a single guarded hall. Each guard sweeps a blinking attention cone across the floor; cross one while it is lit and you are spotted. Hold to advance, release to stop, and switch to a slower sneak to halve a guard's reach so you can slip through gaps that a fast walk never could. Reach the king in striking range, release, and the blade does the rest — across six hand-designed levels of tightening guard timing, ending in the throne hall.
How to play
- Press and hold the lane to walk the assassin toward the king; release to stop.
- Release while within striking range of the king to strike — that wins the level.
- Toggle 潜行 / Sneak to move slower but halve every guard's detection range.
- Watch the attention cones: they blink between lit (dangerous, red) and dark (safe). Move only through the dark windows.
- Cross a lit cone and you are spotted — the run fails and you retry the level.
Tips
- Wait, do not rush: stand still until a cone goes dark, then commit to the dash across it in one motion.
- Use sneak for the narrowest gaps — halving a guard's reach often opens a path a fast walk can't take.
- Read two guards ahead. Plan where the next safe pocket will be before you leave the current one.
FAQ
- Is Murder free to play?
- Yes. Murder runs free in your browser on desktop and mobile, with no installs, sign-up or downloads.
- How do I avoid being spotted?
- Each guard's attention cone blinks on and off. Move only while the cone covering your path is dark, and switch to sneak to shrink the cone so you can pass closer.
- What is the difference between walking and sneaking?
- Walking is fast but a guard sees you at full range. Sneaking is slower but halves that range, letting you slip through gaps a fast walk would be caught in.
- How many levels are there?
- Six hand-designed levels, escalating from a single slow guard to a four-guard throne hall with tight, overlapping timing.
